Plagiarism Policy

Cite it!

If you use the content provided by the Middle School Notes wensite, we provide you with the best content on the web to help you study for your exams and quizes.

We want you to do the right thing and give us credit where credit is due by citing the page you used in your "Works Cited" or "Bibliography" page. We provide you with a citation of our content formatted in MLA. This should be used when information on our site is used for certain purposes. We are not responsible for the actions you may take.

Also, stealing or plagiarising our notes is also copyright infringement because you're copying someone else's content without getting their permission in writing first. Do not copy Middle School Notes.

Plagiarism is Unethical...

Students are NOT encouraged to pass off material found on this website as their own work. Middle School Notes does NOT condone plagiarism in any way, shape, or form.

For example, if you read one of our U.S. History Chapter Outlines and get some ideas to use in your essay or project, then you should cite Middle School Notes. In fact, we provide a citation for each note here on this site at the very bottom of the page where the note is located. For example, if you look at one of our Physical Science Chapter Outlines, and scroll all the way to the bottom, you should see a "How to cite this note (MLA)" section that helps you cite it correctly in MLA so that all plagiarism is eliminated. Don't try to take credit for someone else's ideas - that is plagiarism.

Plagiarizing work has real and dire consequences. Every few months there's a huge scandal where some author, journalist, or scientist gets called out for plagiarising someone else's work. They often lose their job or get kicked out of their university. Plagiarism is serious.
